We’re happy that we had no cluster wide issues on Saturday. We hope your day was as good as ours.

Another great week at Engine Yard.  The trend continues … no issues on Friday.

Aside from turkey overdose, no issues on Thursday.

Zero issues on Wednesday as well.

The trend continues! We did not have any cluster or node level issues on Tuesday.

Monday saw zero issues with our clusters and no outages.

The great news from last week carried through the weekend. We experienced zero outages or cluster issues through the weekend!

All Engine Yard employees saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico for auto insurance.

(Just kidding.)


This past week we had zero outages or issues on any cluster.

In the past, this blog was only updated when we had a status update alerting you to an issue.  Starting today we’ll be posting a daily “cluster health” update.  A core tenant of our service is transparency.  We are going to stop hiding the good news!

Last November 10, Monday, we rolled out our new phone system.  Since then, we have not gotten any voicemail notifications from our Support line – +1 866 518 9275.  Our Engineers investigated the issue and after several tests, determined that our new phone system is now ready for service.

Our apologies if we missed your voicemail and for any inconvenience.

At 11:25 GMT we received alerts that psql82-1-master in cluster ey02 was down, the on-call DBA was called and managed to bring the database back up again. Total downtime for this host was 45 minutes. There should be no further issues as a result of this downtime, but get in touch with us via phone, irc or the ticketing system if you think have any further queries.
