Dear Engine Yard Customer,

Our West Coast Data Center will be performing routine maintenance on a power distribution unit on Thursday January 8th 2009 from 20:00 until 24:00 -8 GMT. No Client downtime is anticipated.

Thank you.

Our clusters stayed in the holiday spirit yesterday and we did not have any downtime.

Nothing stirring around the Yard… Not even a mouse! All has been well.

Happy Holidays all!

We had a brief issue on ey02 cluster’s mysql50-staging-1 database. It occurred while one of our DBAs was working on the database and was thus immediately responded to. Total downtime was approximately 2 minutes.

Have a wonderful holiday season!

All customer applications have been restarted successfully. The maintenance is now complete. If you notice any lingering issues please contact our support team.

The database restart has been completed, individual customer applications are now being restarted.

We are starting the planned maintenance on MySQL50-5 on EY01 now. Updates will continue to be posted here throughout the maintenance.

The mysql50-staging-1 database on cluster EY02 experienced a disk space issue. Our DBAs responded immediately, and full service was restored in less than 10 minutes.

Database maintenance of the mysql50-2 replica caused unexpected iowait on the msyql50-2 master.  This was not noticed immediately leading to high load on the master and very slow query performance.  The process causing the iowait was cancelled and the database recovered in a few minutes. The sites using the database were affected by serving requests very slowly.
